Hosted by Iron Chef America Judge Billy Harris, the evening will include an interactive cooking experience with award winning chef, baker, and author Nancy Silverton of the Mozza Restaurant Group. Nancy will guide you through reheating and plating the multi-course menu from Osteria Mozza and answer your questions.

In addition, master mixologist, Charlotte Voisey will guide you through making our cocktails and a special musical Kiefer guest will join the party.

  • Food and drink kits will be available for pick up on Saturday 12/11/21 between 10am-12pm at Osteria Mozza, LA.
  • *Delivery will be available in the LA area for an additional $35 (within 20 miles of Osteria Mozza).
  • Food kits for delivery outside of LA will be shipped out on Thursday 12/09/21 for overnight delivery. Available for purchase until November 20th
  • The majority of your meal is pre-prepared (some heating or cooking may be involved)
  • Zoom link will be sent prior to the dinner along with heating/plating instructions

Event Honoree: HDBuzz

HDBuzz is the first internet portal for the rapid dissemination of high-quality Huntington’s disease (HD) research news to the global community, written in plain language, by HD clinicians and scientists. It covers laboratory and clinical research, with the aim of helping HD people to understand the latest HD science, on their own terms.

HDBuzz was founded by Dr Ed Wild and Dr Jeff Carroll, HD scientists in the UK and USA, respectively.

Dr Jeff Carroll, PhD. Boston, USA
Jeff Carroll is an Assistant Professor in the Behavioral Neuroscience Program and the Department of Psychology at Western Washington University. His scientific interest is in the understanding the systemic effects of Huntington’s Disease, especially metabolic changes, which he studies using a mouse “knock-in” model of Huntington’s Disease. He also has an interest in gene silencing approaches to HD therapeutics, particularly using antisense oligonucleotides (ASOs). Jeff’s PhD and postdoctoral studies all involved using mouse models to understand basic mechanisms of HD and preclinical testing of therapeutic interventions in these models. During his PhD he trained with Michael Hayden (UBC), his postdoctoral studies were conducted under the supervision of Marcy MacDonald (MGH, Harvard Medical School). As well as conducting research, Jeff is a member of an HD family and himself carries the mutation which causes the disease.

Professor Ed Wild, MRCP, PhD. London, UK
Ed Wild is a Professor of Neurology at University College London, a Consultant Neurologist at the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery in London’s Queen Square, and Associate Director of UCL Huntington’s Disease Centre. He leads a team of researchers aiming to accelerate the development of new therapies to make a real difference for people impacted by Huntington’s disease.

Nancy Silverton is the co-owner of Pizzeria Mozza in Los Angeles and Newport Beach as well as Osteria Mozza, Mozza2Go and chi SPACCA in Los Angeles. Silverton also founded the world-renowned La Brea Bakery as well as Campanile Restaurant, an institution that Angelenos cherished for decades.

Silverton has worked with some of the nation’s most notable and influential chefs including Jonathan Waxman at Michael’s Restaurant and Wolfgang Puck at Spago. She has served as a mentor to numerous others who have gone on to become award-winning chefs and restaurant owners themselves.

Early in her career, Nancy was named Food and Wine Magazine’s “Best New Chef.” In 2014, she received the highest honor given by the James Beard Foundation for "Outstanding Chef." That year, she was listed as one of the Most Innovative Women in Food and Drink by both Fortune and Food and Wine Magazines. Silverton is the author of eight cookbooks including Desserts (1986), Breads from the La Brea Bakery (1996), Pastries from the La Brea Bakery(2000), Nancy Silverton’s Sandwich Book (2005), Twist of the Wrist (2007) and the Mozza Cookbook (2011). In 2017, Nancy was profiled on Netflix’s documentary series "Chef’s Table."

For the past twenty-five years, Billy Harris has been wowing audiences throughout the United States and around the world. His razor-sharp timing and brilliant improvisational skills have made him one of the most sought-after MC's in the business. A cousin of Vaudeville great Georgie Jessel, Billy has been performing his entire life. By the tender age of five and a half, he understood how to "work a room"!

Additionally, Billy is a highly sought-after auctioneer who lends his comedic style to the auction block. Charlotte Voisey is one of the most respected spirits educators and mixologists in the World, She has been awarded Best American Brand Ambassador, Golden Spirit Award winner, UK Bartender of the Year, Mixologist of the Year for Wine Enthusiast Magazine and a silver medal at the World Bartender Championships in Italy.

Charlotte has been recognized by the James Beard Foundation for her contribution to mixology and currently the Global Head of Ambassadors for William Grant & Sons. Charlotte is an Associate Partner of the B.A.R. Five Day Program.

Host of video series The Proper Pour with Charlotte Voisey, Charlotte's cocktails have been placed on menus across the world including New York’s famed PDT, the iconic Dorchester Hotel in London and Whitechapel in San Francisco. Charlotte’s passion for all things spirits and cocktails keeps her in an active speaking role at all major industry events including Tales of the Cocktail, Aspen Food & Wine, Las Vegas Nightclub & Bar Show, Charleston Wine + Food Festival and Barra Mexico and a regular contributor on television including appearances on The Today Show, Iron Chef America and Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen.

Nick Cerbone – Folio Fine Wine Partners.

Born and raised in New York, Nick Cerbone has spent most of his early life in Long Island and New York City. He began working in restaurants at age 14, in a number of roles before relocating to Boulder Colorado where he completed a Bachelor of Arts - Italian language and Literature in 2012. Returning to New York after a brief travel sojourn, Nick held roles as Beverage Director in New York and Long Island, before moving into distribution sales in 2016 with Empire Wine Merchants, then Monsieur Touton Selections in 2017. Nick relocated to Los Angeles in August 2021 for Folio Fine Wine Partners and is a keen lover of food, wine, and sports, indulging his first loves of lacrosse and snowboarding at any opportunity.

Kiefer is a Grammy-winning pianist and producer. He was born and raised in San Diego, immersed in jazz by his father. He studied at UCLA’s Jazz Studies Program under renowned jazz guitarist Kenny Burrell and got his beats education at the LA club Low End Theory.

Kiefer released his debut album Kickinit Alone in 2017 with Leaving Records and, in 2018, signed to Stones Throw and released his second album Happysad. Three EPs — Bridges, Superbloom, and Between Days — expanded his compositional approach to his songwriting. Kiefer has toured the world and collaborated with Kaytranada, SiR, Terrace Martin, Lalah Hathaway, Moses Sumney, Abraham Laboriel, and more. In 2020, he won a GRAMMY for Best R&B Album for his production work on Anderson Paak’s Ventura.

Kiefer is also a teacher of music. He regularly shares his musical insights via Twitch and collaborates with the followers on his channel, as well as designing teaching courses for Soundfly and Adidas, among others.
