Angie Valdivia
HDSA Los Angeles Social Worker

Angie Valdivia is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with experience across child welfare, inpatient medical care, neurology, crisis intervention, and mental health. Throughout her career, she has supported children, adults, and families navigating grief and loss, chronic illness, substance use, mental health challenges, and life transitions.

Her professional experience includes safety assessments, care coordination, hospital discharge planning, crisis counseling, psychoeducation, and connecting individuals and families with community-based resources. She is committed to providing compassionate, client-centered support that empowers individuals during some of life’s most challenging moments.

As the chapter social worker for the Huntington’s Disease Society of America (HDSA) Los Angeles Chapter, Angie leads support groups and provides guidance and resources to individuals and families impacted by Huntington’s disease. She is deeply passionate about serving the HD community and helping members feel supported, informed, and connected throughout their journey.

Angie is bilingual in English and Spanish and is proud to provide services and support to HDSA’s Spanish-speaking community members, helping ensure greater access to resources and care.
